A. Parent and Community Involvement and Outreach: The school executive designs structures and processes which result in parent and community engagement, support and ownership for the school.
Parent Teacher Conferences: As a grade level chair, I was responsible during my principal residency for organizing, scheduling, and rescheduling parent teacher conferences each quarter. I sent home parent letters to have parents sign up for available time slots, I distributed the task of scheduling families into time slots of my team, I personalized (mail-merged) letters to go home with students to communicate with families their scheduled time, and I had my team call and/or text families to remind them of their time slot for their meeting. This process for engaging families allowed our team to be the first grade level to complete 100% of parent conferences each quarter. During the conferences themselves, myself or my team communicated to families students academic, behavioral, attendance, and test score data. |

I also had the opportunity during my residency experience to help plan, facilitate and execute many events where parents were invited to the school. The artifacts attached are from Full Pride Night where families were invited to a pot luck style dinner to spend time and enjoy the company of all families in our grade level.

B. Federal, State and District Mandates: The school executive designs executive protocols and processes in order to comply with federal, state and district mandates.
Testing Coordinator: I had the opportunity to serve as Henderson Collegiate Middle School's Testing Coordinator during my residency. This role allowed me to learn the complexities of both state and district requirements for testing and required me to navigate plans to accommodate all requirements and compliance concerns related to testing, training, and accommodations. |
